BACKGROUND: In collaboration with Princess and Leighanne, I would want to take the pre-existing goal of the hospital and bring it to the next level. My goal would be to make DEMH to be an rp place that anyone, fraction or non-fraction, can bring their storyline to and have it be fun, engaging and walk away with something that will add to their character's story. Whether they are looking for straight medical roleplay or maybe something darker, I would like the hospital to be able to be a stopping point that player enjoys going there. The hospital and the asylum offer many different opportunities for events. Some of my ideas include, "Casual Friday" maybe once a month where really it's more like "Slutty Friday" and Medical staff can dress as they wish. Also, we could explore "Fundraisers" like for poor sick Tommy but in reality the hospital is pocketing half the profits. In doing a fundraiser, it allows the hospital to reach out to other businesses, city officials, and other leads in Dead End and bring them into the event as well. Another smaller regular event idea would be having a "Support Group" once a month or more often if the interest was there, in the Asylum. Think the beginning of the fight club, there is a lot of different avenues that having a support group could lead to so some fun role play. I already try to reach out to new employees or ones that I have not met yet and introduce myself ic, but also message them to ask how can I help, if they have any questions to please bug me. Not just with new employees, but also with patients that are not on our revolving door list. In the medical field, nurses for example are required to take certain in-services each year. So, I have an idea where if the interest was there, that we do some ic in-services and make them fun. Ie, blood-borne pathogens being one that comes to mind first. I think Tori would fit well in management at the hospital. Her character is general in hopes of being good, but she instinctively becomes darker when in the asylum. Her desire and need to help people, is what would make her not only welcoming to new patients/employees but also not one sided on the good vs evil if problems arose.

UNIQUE: I would want to follow the model that Princess and Leighanne have done in allowing good/evil players to come to the hospital to work on their character's goals and desires. I would want to add to it a community outreach to pull other business's and fractions into the hospital roleplay. The hospital/asylum are community based business and my goal is to have us reflect that.

EXPERIENCE:Well, I am a natural empathetic person that wants to bring out the best in others. In relation to the position, I would want to see other players evolve their story and help as much as I could. I have worked in management and seen what happens when you utilize people's strengths and not focus on their weakness. It's amazing! Working in the medical field as a Nurse's aid for ten years, allows me to bring in some realistic feel to role play to DEMH and to help others who may not know some of the basics. To note though, I worked with the elderly and not in the hospital, so I do not know everything medical.

IDEAS:If I saw a new employee name on the roster, I would introduce myself to them in IM and make myself available if they had any questions. I would also direct them to the forum, give them the welcome card and any other tools useful to them to get started. I would also try to pull them into a case to at least observe. Not everyone is comfortable right away to roleplay medical by themselves. In Character, I would hope to give the feel of us being a team to them and be welcoming as I introduced them to any other employees that were near by.

OTHER:I have thought about a grand re-opening and seriously the only thing that keeps popping up in my head is picturing Princess in a carnival dunk tank. So, with that image in mind, I would like to throw the idea of a carnival open house. The surgeon throwing knives at a nurse or a community member who is spinning on a wheel, the dunk tank and maybe a couple other carnival type things that are in the parking lot. We could do a tour of the hospital, that would have some different things the community could do in different sections of the hospital. One area (breakroom) would have a blood pressure check and other medical education, down in the Asylum could be where the 'party' is. Possibly, with some input from Princess and Leighanne, there could be a doctor who sees people for a medical marijuana card. Next to them would be the business that sells the product and accessories. Generally speaking, a hospital would have some sort of conference room and other than the break room upstairs, the asylum seems like the best place for a gathering at DEMH. We could reach out to the halfway house and have a medical professional there to talk about the effects of drugs and alcohol. This is a spur of the moment idea based on not speaking yet to Princess and Leighanne, but I would like to see an event with medical but with a dark twist for the grand re-opening of DEMH.
