Super thanks to Tarra and Andi for outlining and bringing the idea together!
Everyone is welcome to add notes and comments.. Everyone is welcome to IM me for this, OR just post your thoughts in here and I will talk to you about working it in..

Thanks again to Andi and Tarra.. Plot slighted to start By about Dec 6 lasting to around the 13th

Phase one:

Winter storm something or another is slated to arrive in Dead end on (this date). Record snowfall is expected, but first there will be a layer of ice, making travel difficult and dangerous. Chances of power outages are likely so stock up on generators and supplies now.

Everybody gets a few days to prepare, And then the storm hits. Snow and ice all day. By the next morning, the power around the outskirts begins to flicker. by the next night, they go out (unless you have a generator, which also gives folks the option to not play it out.)

Maybe the PD loses power? no way to charge radios? Make response times very sluggish.

Phase two:

Businesses with power can volunteer their space as temporary shelters (casino for sure, I hope, best basement!). Donations can be made as well, blankets, food and the like. Restaurants can volunteer to supply these things food wise, getting them involved.

Meanwhile-An armored truck on it's way to somewhere important will have to cut through Dead End, as trees and power lines are down everywhere. The Hellcats heard about this, and want to get their hands on it. Word of mouth is that the pd radios are out (something like that) so they'll act to strike. By the time the PD gets word of it, armored truck is busted, hellcats make bank.

Phase three:

A couple days with no power in residential/some businesses. Hopefully people are staying in the shelters. Access to sewers, slow pd response time, could really crack out some naughty RP. Supplies run low at the end due to the roads condition, but gradually DE can be plowed and put right. Power kicks on after..however long we decide...and life goes back to normal.
