TL;DR: There is new stuff happening at the hospital that is different than the usual "get hurt, get stitched" roleplay!

A newspaper article will be coming out shortly that introduces our characters to some changes at the hospital, but I wanted to let you all in on some OOC information to go along with that.

We are ICly participating in voluntary human trials. The benefit to your character is "paid for medical care". All of the medications/treatments we roll out in this fashion are considered to be in the final phases of testing and so they are at least sort of effective and won't result in third eyes, tentacles, etc. There may be some flipper babies, but it should only be a few flipper babies. Oh... and there may be some side effects.

Here's how it works. Your character tells the Doctor/nurse that they want to participate in experimental treatments. It is assumed that waivers are signed and legal mumbo-jumbo happens. You will be given a notecard that explains the effects of the drug/treatment that you can choose to incorporate into your play. Then have fun seeing how your character would deal with the side effects, etc. Sort of important note, you CAN'T participate via an OOC doctor. There is now way for someone to give you the note card explaining the treatment and we don't have a prim to dispense such a note card.

If you'd like to know more about the current experiment, feel free to stop by the hospital and ask a friendly staffer!

On a related note, if you've ever thought "hey, this would be a cool mad scientist experiment to pull in DE" you can also pitch your ideas! I've got a handy little notecard that explains what we are looking for, so if you want to see your drug/treatment come to life please hit me up in world.
