Dead End wasn't the beginning of my character's trouble, it all started in Miami where she was running a very successful law firm with her husband…
To get rid of her and enjoy his younger mistress, he falsified the books and blamed it on her. Killing two birds with one stone in the process.
So she did jail time, but fortunately, her experience with the law helped her get the shortest sentence possible.
So after jail, a divorce, losing part of her fortune, being disbarred and ashamed, she chooses to leave Miami.
Packing all she has left in three big suitcases and a handbag, she flies to Dead End. Upon arrival, she finds out all her luggage is lost, together with the note on which she wrote the address of her distant relative living there.
Alone, dressed for the summer in a freezing cold city, with only her handbag, she stops in a few places before finding her way to a sleazy Motel.
Having nothing more to loose, all doors are open for her and she intends to make the best of it… but Dead End is not quite what she expected. Will she be able to handle the torment, corruption and violence that unravels as days go by? Will she use the city's weaknesses to her advantage? Will she be crushed or make back her fortune? Only time will tell…
