Soon as I can get in world, stupid computer... I'll be kicking this out as a notice but thought I would slap it up here as well just cause I can.
Hey there guess I'm the new boss or something. I just wanted to take this chance to both say hello and to share with you the vision I have for the Jade.
I would like to create an atmosphere where the criminals and other low lifes of the city feel like they have a place for them. Gang on gang violence will not be tolerated but should conflicting factions wish to meet there rock on.
I'll start out here with a few plans and 'setting and scene' stuffl.
● The Jade has had a new mp3 player powered stereo system. All the music on there is loud, selected to limit conversational range to just a few feet (say 1-1.4 m). So remember to mention it in your posts (I need ta work on this one as well). To help with this feel free to npc other staff members if you need to. Remember it is a bar and restaurant. But if you want ta work a lonely shift and be understaffed feel free.
● As for the lighting I would like to think the bar is poorly lit and just a tad bit smokey. The area behind the bar would be well lit, almost in contrast to the rest of the place. Again like the music this is to give the customers a sense of anonymity while they are there.
● Try to be friendly and welcoming to the customers but don't over do it, let's not be Cheers
● If you see anyone that you think may be about to break into a fight, tell them too either take it outside or into the basement. If they chose the latter explain that there will be no weapons and try to manage bets as best you can from the other patrons. If they do use weapons just pass their name along to the group.
● Anyone breaking the basement fight rules or fighting in the main area of the bar should have the cops called on them and they will not be allowed back in. Snap a photo with your phone, pass their name along. Make sure that we all know who they are. If its clear that someone was purely defending themselves, They can appeal their ban to Management.
● I would like to get some assistant Managers on to cover the hours that I’m not in sim. So if you're interested and think you can follow the direction I would like to take the Jade drop me a line. To be warned I will expect Managers to be active in the bar, and I will be watching.
Activities and future plans:
● We will be having a noodle stand at the carnival do try to man it
● I want to do fight nights in the basement about once a month. These will be bare knuckles fights, Fight Club style. so no shirts no shoes fight goes until someone has had enough. There will be bets like the spontaneous fights, house taking a cut of all winnings. With a slice of the losers pot going to the house and the winning fighter.
● Once I get everything set up for it there will be one night a week where there will be a sushi girl night. One nude girl laying on the bar covered in fresh sushi. Patrons can not touch her or take the sushi with their hands, just their chopsticks. Sushi prices for off the girl eating are triple regular price, and come with a small cup of warm skai.
● Once I get it set up IC the bar will be rigged up with counter surveillance devices. Cell Phones will still work, unless someone wants to RP them not working. Otherwise other listening devices and the like will not work. Details pending, I will drop a notice when it has been arranged.
Menu and stuff:
● Arguable the best selection and best whisky in town. Not going to say this as a 100% but play it up IC. Some so good that it's kept under lock and key and needs to be paid for upfront.
● Imported and very good Saki, available warm. There is cheap stuff as well
● Limited selection of other booze. Play up how the other types of standard bar drinks is not that well stocked.
● Food wise freshly rolled sushi and soup made daily. All materials bought in the Chinese Market daily. So if you're one in the wee hours feel free to RP shopping for the soup and sushi stuff. there are NO burgers or any other things like that.
● besides the rail sodas, only cola is pepsi btw, and water the only non-alcoholic drinks is Tea. Though there is some other random things around for mixed drinks, though such things aren't always stoked well.
Roles as I see them:
● Roller; food prep primarily the sushi but also the soups. In a pinch they can of course wait tables.
● Sever; Take food and drink orders, and make non-Alcoholic drinks, like the tea. Best role suited for being sushi girl
● Bartender; Mix drinks and captain the ship if there is no manager around.
● Manager; fill in where needed and make sure staff and patrons follow the rules
● Bouncer(to be added); enforce the rules make sure fights only happen in the basement and hold the money during bettings, any ONE person can take the bets just sec holds the money while the fight is underway.
