Dead End Memorial Hospital and Asylum
BACKGROUND: This application is for the third board member position at the Hospital/Asylum. As I will be joining an established team, I will first strive to put forth initiatives that align with the rest of the board. As the board is mostly focused on turning a blind eye to staff malfeasance, Princess would encourage inter-staff relationships, cover for her staff members who botched/assaulted patients, and seed select information amongst hospital/asylum staff of patient/staff complaints to fuel IC drama. As for initiatives of my own, I will drive rotating "medical experiments" which would provide medical staff with new treatments for their own arsenal while also providing patients with new experiences. New staff members would be included, as they are now, by pushing for more in-character orientation to the hospital systems. To help new recruits acclimate to hospital play I would also try and find available staff members to take over a case while Princess took the role of "attending physician" to provide IC coaching..... but really she would just be a super abusive boss ala the only funny character on Scrubs............................................................. so help you god if you thought of Turk just now. He's not funny.
UNIQUE: The hospital is already a standout from other organizations in DE. However, I believe the intent of this question is to probe how a leader would bring a unique voice to DE that is made public via the business. The aforementioned medical experiments would go a long way to breaking the mold of "get stabbed, get stitched, wait your time." With new, and often sinister, treatments, there would be more variation in hospital experiences because both patients and staff would have more options to choose from aside from the standard stitches and clock-watching. On a related note, patient participation in these experimental treatments would also add some realism to the hospital experience as it provides an IC method for patients to "pay" for their treatment. Should a patient wish to roleplay the financial burden of their medical care, they could roleplay through the experimental treatments and suffer IC side-effects, pain, etc. I would also like to entertain the idea of Asylum staff taking in kidnapped and captured patients to participate in experiments. This would serve two purposes. First, it would increase roleplay in the Asylum. Second, it would provide a more proactive avenue for medical roleplay. Rather than waiting for something to happen, staff could make things happen. Asylum staff would be encouraged to invite their friends to bring in their latest victim for a mind game or two. Since Stratego is always checked out we'll have to make up some of our own games :).
EXPERIENCE:I have previously led a roleplay police department in a different SIM. In DE, I have submitted ideas for story arcs and events and have worked extensively with Bean, Kyo, and past SIM management to see as many of these ideas become reality. Of note, the FOR THEIR LIVES charity race I put together became a platform for other people to launch violent events from.

OTHER:Since leadership is already present and the hospital never really closes, there would be no "re-opening" event. Princess might put out cupcakes in the staff break room..... but then she would also slash shifts so that no one had time to eat it just to observe behavior when people are denied cupcakes.
