May 23rd... (evening)

I met up with Vitto and Katey in the square. Vitto hinted to me that he had hoped that I would have called him to talk to him about the business at hand. I excused myself from Katey and met Vitto in our meeting spot, on the subway platform by the Jade Dragon…

After my meeting I spoke to Louise to get things off my chest and ran into Nat briefly at Lulu’s before meeting up with Myth in the square.

Myth wasn’t busy and asked if I wanted to go Tim Horton’s with him for some ‘coffee’. I said sure, but needed to change first and we walked home together. We never did end up going out...

Myth fell asleep and I couldn’t so I grabbed my journal and headed to my favourite spot to write…

Katey and SarahM were in Lulu’s this morning when I walked in. I asked Katey how the rest of the night went at SinQ. She told me things had slowed down a lot after I left and she had gone home shortly after me.

Katey asked if I was able to get together with Myth after I left and I told her yes and a bit about the meeting I saw him in with Isa and Rendell.

Lulu’s wasn’t busy so we both went on our breaks. I went for a walk and met up with Waisty. I always enjoy my talks with him as he makes me laugh every time...

I walked back to the bar and ran into Cloee talking to Katey. Gn0m and some woman named Vampy walked into the bar. Xonox walked in not much later. I watched Gn0m flirting with Vampy. Xonox and I chatted. I felt bad that I hadn’t remembered him from the night before...

RM walked in just as Xonox asked if I’d have a drink with him. I was going to say no, but when I saw RM, I poured myself a shot of vodka. Vampy was a little tipsy and climbed onto the bar and began to dance on the pole for Gn0m. RM seemed to be pleased to have some entertainment and encouraged her to start taking off her clothes for him...

Vampy started to strip and Xonox and RM shared looks. Xonox paid for his drink then reached down and scooped up her clothing as he walked out of the bar. Alexia walked in at the same time he left. This time I remembered that she liked vodka with ice. I must say that it surprised me that RM took his focus off of Vampy when she walked in and told Alexia that they needed to talk. I poured myself a shot while I made Alexia’s drink. RM caught me pouring my drink and made a comment while frowning that I drank more then the average client and hopes that Sarah doesn’t find out. I said nothing to him and downed the vodka and watched as the two walked to the corner of the bar. Katey must have heard RM’s comment because she asked me what I was doing drinking. I ignored her too...

A man named Jhosef walked in and ordered a beer. After we exchanged names and a brief hello, Myth strolled in. We all shared our hellos and good mornings. I love the feeling I get whenever I see him enter a room...

I gave Katey a nudge to remind her she had something to ask Myth. Jhosef finished his drink and left. RM and Alexia made their way back to the bar and RM told me that all her drinks were on him. RM looked at Myth and nodded a hello, “Myth…my ‘friend’. Myth’s expression said it all when he just frowned and nodded back and we watched RM leave...

Katey then turned to Myth and asked him if he was interested in coming back to work at Lulu’s as a bouncer. Xeno wasn’t around much and we sure needed the help. I crossed my fingers and hoped that he would say yes...

Isa walked in and I waved at her wondering if she could see that far yet. Her eyesight was slowly coming back after her fight with Nat that night...

Myth told Katey that he might take the job back, but there was a condition, he wanted to know Cally’s involvement at the bar, as they didn’t really get along. Katey assured him there wasn’t an issue as she had replaced her as manager and he smiled, “Sure sign me up”. Hearing that just about made my day...

Myth tried to exchange hellos with Isa but she snubbed him. Myth picked up that there was something on her mind and called her out, “Spit it out Isa, your not one to keep your mouth shut about anything.”
Isa spoke calmly, “Can anyone tell me why, in God's name, they released season 2 of Battlestar Galactica on two separate issues and ended the first set with Commander Adama and Admiral Cain about to go to war? Please anyone?”
Myth sighed shaking his head, "Sorry Isa don't now the show. I don't watch much television"
Isa retorted, “Well, whatever marketing genius thought up this needs a good ass rape. Now I have to wait a week for the damned store to ship it since no one has 2.5 in stock anymore.”

I was sort of paying attention and asked what show they were talking about and Isa told me Battlestar Galactica and then added and Oprah, the queen of the universe.

Katey piped up that it’s Zena. I told them that it was She-Ra. Myth just laughed at us. Isa told Katey, “No, she was the princess warrior, warrior princess. Oprah...someday Oprah WILL be my best friend.”

I tried to defend my comment and said that He-Man had something to do with the universe and told them, “She-Ra is a fictional character and the heroine in the series of toys produced by Mattel called She-Ra: Princess of Power. She is the alter ego of Princess Adora and also the twin sister of He-Man (Prince Adam). There are several conspiracy theories as the two were considered to be a couple by many innocent young children of that era. She appears in the cartoon She-Ra: Princess of Power, which was an attempt to make a version of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series that would appeal to young girls in the same way that He-Man appealed to young boys.”

They looked at me and I said, “Okay so I was wrong. Oprah is the queen of the universe.”

I then looked at Myth and asked him if he was happy to be working at Lulu’s again. He smiled at me and said, “Yeah I think I am”. I asked if he knew the other reason why Katey asked him, other than the fact that Xeno wasn’t around much. Myth didn’t know so I told him that Katey feels bad for working at SinQ and wouldn’t be around me much and wanted someone to keep an eye out on me. I added, “She trusts me with you.” Myth was surprised and said, “She does? She doesn’t act like she does.” I leaned over the bar and told him again that she does. Myth reached out and placed his hand on my cheek and asked, “So how do you feel about me working here?” I put my hand on his and said, “It makes me smile.” Officer Boa walked in the bar and I stood up again and could still feel the warmth of his touch on my cheek...

Officer Boa ordered a water and Isa asked her if she had caught the motel owner, meaning RM. Leites, her first name, said no and asked what did he do. Officer Leites Boa was new to the city and the force and had no clue what Isa was talking about. Isa answered, “I think tax evasion and I think you should raid the place.” Myth chuckled in the background listening to Isa. Isa continued, “You’ll probably need backup. I’m sure Officer Mavendorf would be of help. I’m certain many of the other cops would help too.”

Myth tried to discourage Isa and told her while shaking his head, “Don’t”. Isa wasn’t listening, “I know the last time I was there there were bed bugs, roaches and large quantities of cash transactions.” Officer Boa seemed pleased with the hot tip and left the bar...

When she left, I looked at Myth and told him, "So...Katey tells me that Amber might ask me to work again at SinQ...." I didn't think that he heard me because he turned to Isa and said, “When she turns up missing, it’s on your head.” He wasn’t pleased. Isa shrugged, “She won’t. She looks tough.” Myth said, “Maybe you’re right and if she does poof then all the cops will be out in force.” Isa replied, “Not so random, eh?” Myth smiled, “Yeah might be a good idea for her to disappear while investigating the motel. Might get all the cops on RM’s ass.”

Isa then turned to him and said, “Okay, I’ll rock, paper, scissor, lizard, Spock you for it.” Myth looked puzzled and said, “You’ll what?” I asked Isa, “What is the sign for lizard again?” She curled her two fingers like snake fangs and laughed. “What beats Spock?” I asked as Myth then turned to me and said, “And what do you plan to tell Amber?” I was impressed that he heard me. I thought about it and told him that I couldn’t really say no. Isa was still thinking about the game and said, “Let’s see…lizard bites Spock, Spock vaporizes rock and as always rock smashes scissors or something like that.” Myth reminded me, “No I guess you can’t unless you come up with 10 grand” he then turned to Isa, “Okay go through the whole list again you lost me when Spock vaporized the rock.”

Isa looked at Myth, laughing gently, "Another TV show, 'The Big Bang Theory' on network TV about a bunch of engineering geeks. One them felt a simple game of rock, paper scissors was too limiting with people who knew each other. So, he proposed a lizard, Spock expansion. Unfortunately, since they're all geeks, they always picked Spock."
